Abstract

Abstract only Natural Language Processing (NLP) is transforming research in Human Resources (HR) and Organizational Behavior (OB) by enabling the large- scale analysis of unstructured text data. Text, a ubiquitous yet underutilized data source, offers profound insights into HR and OB phenomena—spanning employee communications, organizational culture, and individual assessments—when processed through advanced NLP techniques. This symposium explores how NLP innovations are addressing methodological and practical challenges in HR and OB research, enhancing the depth, rigor, and accessibility of scholarly inquiry. The presentations in this symposium highlight the transformative potential of NLP for HR and OB scholarship, offering innovative methods that expand traditional research boundaries.
