Abstract

An abstract of a study by Moser et al investigating the relationship between vascular disease and cognition in patients with vascular depression is presented. Findings suggest a positive relationship between vascular function and cognition in a group of patients who have not yet developed severe cognitive decline. If borne out in larger studies, such findings could have significant implications for the identification of those individuals at greatest risk for vascular cognitive decline and dementia.
