Abstract
Although Candida species are the most common cause of invasive and noninvasive fungal infections, other yeast and molds also cause infections in the neonatal age group, many of which are life-threatening. Here we discuss the epidemiology, presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of rare fungal infections that occur in the neonatal period.
