Abstract

Sports ultrasound is used to evaluate and guide treatment for injuries and medical conditions associated with sport and exercise. This involves clinical and in-the-field applications and includes both diagnostic imaging and procedural guidance. This chapter will provide a basic overview of the modality and demonstrate specific examples of clinical conditions and procedures commonly encountered in the practice of sports medicine.
