Abstract
Artificial Intelligence, or Augmented Intelligence (AI), is the term for systems capable of making decisions of high cognitive complexity. In health-care, Autonomous AI systems are those AI sys-tems that make clinical decisions without human oversight, and where the autonomous AI creator assumes medical liability [1]. Autonomous AI systems are thus different from Assistive AI sys-tems, which help a clinician make better diagnos-tic or management decisions, and where the liability for the medical decision remains with the clinician [2].
