Abstract
This chapter discusses dietary interventions in clinical trials. It provides examples of important components of clinical trials, including study design, recruitment, and intervention designs. Methods used to ensure fidelity to prescribed dietary interventions are presented. Specific descriptions of long-term, randomized clinical trials with dietary interventions with a motivational interviewing example are described.
