Abstract
Wrestling is a popular sport among school-aged, high school, and collegiate athletes. Skin infections are common, but the treatments and return to sport guidelines are clear and easy to follow. Wrestling is a weight-classified sport. Providers must counsel young athletes on healthy weight management practices. Many of the musculoskeletal injuries that occur in wrestling also occur in other sports. Rehabilitation and surgical techniques focus on wrestling-specific flexibility, range of motion, and strength. In general, injured wrestlers who can protect themselves and have a low risk of worsening their injury, or suffering a secondary injury, can return to sport.
