Abstract
Psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and personality disorders are prevalent among patients with chronic pain. Further, many patients with chronic pain struggle with sleep disturbance, suicidality, cognitive impairment, and problematic opioid use. Psychological approaches to chronic pain management may include operant approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, or hypnosis.
