Abstract
The focus of this chapter are Latinos and Latinas who are working to revitalize their current hometowns of Columbus Junction and Marshalltown, Iowa. Former meatpacking plant workers turned downtown entrepreneurs and small business owners are featured, along with a daughter of meatpacking plant workers who plans to become an immigration lawyer. These individuals are committed to improving their towns and to working with Latinas/os to help them thrive.
