Abstract
Complications after hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke are common and can be significant barriers to optimal recovery and quality of life, as well as resulting in increased morbidity and mortality [1]. Many of these complications are manageable or preventable (Box 12.1). This chapter focuses on the management of major postdischarge complications of stroke.
