Abstract
In conclusion, Gore-Tex medialization laryngoplasty remains a simple surgical technique for the restoration of voice and airway function after unilateral vocal cord paralysis. It allows great flexibility for individual surgeons to modify their technique to suit their comfort level and patient population. It is easily combined with arytenoid adduction in patients requiring closure of a posterior glottic gap. It is reversible and revisable, and the complications are quite limited. When they do occur they are commonly managed with simple procedures that allow future restoration of vocal cord position and quality of voice.
