Abstract

In the United States, PRME signatories remain largely absent from the rural Midwest and Southeast. As faculty and staff at a PRME signatory situated in the middle of that nearly empty space on the map, we focus this chapter on the history of our work and propose a path forward to fill the missing spaces around us. We begin with context about our school and surrounding community, and then discuss context-sensitive work with potential to grow our own school's PRME-related activities. Central to our road map is the use of context-specific priorities to establish meaningful partnerships in rural and politically conservative areas.
