Abstract
In this paper, performance analysis and receiver design in the uplink of SDMA-based wireless systems are performed in the presence of impulsive noise modeled as a symmetric alpha-stable process. The optimal receiver and several suboptimal receivers are proposed and the symbol-error-rates (SER) or upper bound of SER of the receivers are derived. Simulation results show the proposed receivers can achieve significant performance gain compared with conventional detectors in SDMA-based wireless systems.
