Abstract
Sphenopalatine Neuralgia aka Sluder’s neuralgia is a description of a specific clinical picture of headache and facial pain with some overlapping characteristics consistent with migraine type headaches. The symptoms comprise of various manifestations and include both sensory as well as motor components. Currently the evolving classification of facial pain and headaches makes a specific diagnosis and treatment of sphenopalatine neuralgia difficult, and is has been proposed to consider it as a variant of cluster headache or to develop new criteria to describe it.
