Abstract
Efforts to explore the neuroscience of creativity must face multiple challenges. These include the selection of the appropriate tools (e.g., positron emission tomography, functional magnetic resonance, cognitive assessments of divergent thinking), selecting an appropriate definition of creativity, designing appropriate protocols if imaging tools are used, and recruiting and identifying appropriate subjects. This chapter reviews these challenges and proposes some solutions to resolve them.
