Abstract
A two-volume collection of essays takes some risks in trying to offer an expansive perspective on issues faced by the US Latino population while pushing boundaries as a printed reference work. Gutiérrez organizes this multivolume set's 69 essays into eight sections (ranging from social justice and immigration to health, culture, and media), whose authors examine the challenges of the Latino experience.
