Abstract
The Nature and Ontogenesis of Meaning (Overton and Palermo; see record 1994-98016-000)is a result of efforts by the board of the Jean Piaget Society to create a symposium on the topic of the nature and development of meaning. Though book contains some thought-provoking essays on a subject whose complexity is beyond doubt, the contributions from social psychology, psychiatry, developmental psychology, and linguistics are not well integrated here.
