Abstract
Reviews the book "Recent Developments in Alcoholism, Vol. 12: Alcoholism and Women" edited by Marc Galanter.
These articles are informative, interesting, and well written and raise important questions for clinicians and researchers working with alcohol-abusing women. The four sections together give a valid and comprehensive perspective on alcoholic women. The chapters on physiology, which are not easily accessible for many clinicians, are important and meaningful and have not been presented as thoroughly in similar contexts. Even though the book is expensive, it should be an indispensable resource book for clinicians working with alcoholic women.
