Abstract
Insofar as this work challenges normative heterosexist narratives and images, it appears as a welcome addition to the expansive field of gender studies; but You Tarzan (which unfortunately suffers in comparison with these other volumes) also raises doubts about the "postfeminist" direction and value of some recent work on media representations of men and masculinity.
