Abstract

We conducted a usability study to discover undergraduate engineering students' learning performance and preference for video tutorials and Guide-on-the-Side tutorials for database instruction. Our results suggested that both tutorials were effective in helping participants to learn database search skills and Guide-on-the-Side tutorials were preferred.
