The talk is a discussion of the implications of the Ontological Turn for those working in the field of Cultural Astronomy using the example of the evolution across time of the Basque stone circle at Gerediaga, near Bilbao. The sociocultural and political situatedness of the site is documented. The work is a PowerPoint presentation that forms part of the Round Table on “What could the Ontological Turn mean for the practice of Cultural Astronomy?” that took place at the 26th annual conference of the European Society for Astronomy in Culture (SEAC): “Harmony and Symmetry: Celestial regularities shaping human culture”, Karl Fanzens Universität / University of Graz, August 27-September 1, 2018.
