Whether it's the musical, Hamilton, or the graphic novel, Lumberjanes, stories often have research behind them. Libraries and archives offer powerful and amazing resources that can add telling details, dramatic tension, or brand new ideas to your stories, whether nonfiction or fiction. We explain what libraries offer writers, ways to connect archival material to narratives, and how to find hidden gems in libraries and archives. Harnessing the power of social media to connect with libraries and archives is another dimension of these explorations. This talk is aimed at educators, creators, and librarians who want to learn and share ideas about researching stories.
