Abstract

The Ableism in Education and Epistemic Cognition (AEECI) instrument was developed based on relevant literature in epistemic cognition, disability studies, and special education fields to measure teacher ability to identify ableism, and to support the identification by teachers of the perceived root causes of those ableist interactions. The development and content validation of the instrument will be shared and discussion of the ongoing research will be included.
