Abstract
To predict the bone density distribution as influenced by the implantation of an interbody fusion system, a three-dimensional, two motion segment (L3-L5) finite element model was considered. Using the FE model the process of adaptive remodeling was simulated. Finally, the resulting data was analyzed.
