Efficient coronary border detection using heuristic graph searching

Abstract
An efficient algorithm for border detection in coronary images which uses heuristic graph searching is presented. The method has been tested on clinical coronary angiograms and produces highly accurate detected borders and increases search efficiency by a factor greater than 15.
