Abstract
New iterative algorithms to identify Hammerstein system with piecewise-linear nonlinearities are proposed in this paper. Two particular piecewise-linear nonlinear structures are considered, i.e., the saturation and preload nonlinearites. Iterative method is a simple and efficient way to identify Hammerstein nonlinear system. But the convergence is often a problem. It is recently shown that normalized iterative method produces convergent result in identifying Hammerstein system with smooth nonlinear part and finite impulse response linear part. In this paper, the parameter convergence is established in one iteration step under the assumption that the nonlinear structure is odd symmetric and the linear part is FIR. Examples are provided to show that the method is effective in both types of Hammerstein systems.
