Load-displacement characteristics of an implanted nuclear pouch in the lumbar spine

Abstract
A device that proposes to reduce surgical morbidity while promoting stability by fusion is introduced. The device is a bone-chip pouch, which fills the nuclear space. Initial findings of this device in lumbar cadaveric specimens are presented.
