Abstract
Owners and collectors care deeply about the antiques, heirlooms, and other object they possess: books, furniture, photographs, Bibles, diaries, china -- and many, many other kinds of "things," many not rare and many not valuable. This presentation was an attempt to put that preservation passion, and the vast number of hints, pieces of advice, and instructions that abound, into a context that helps match concern with appropriate technique.
