Abstract
This article develops a model explaining how various single levels of person-environment fit combine to influence an individual's overall perception of P-E fit. We propose that a variety of within-level, cross-level, and temporal factors influence the salience of individual fit assessments which, in turn, affects the overall P-E fit perception.
