Worker assignment on a serial-line when productivity is changing
IIE Annual Conference. Proceedings, p.1

Abstract
The objective of this research is to develop methods to solve the worker assignment problem considering learning and forgetting. The workers' productivity changes over time and is dependent on the number of times the workers were assigned to each task. Tasks have different complexity levels, and the workforce is heterogeneous. The worker assignment model is formulated and incorporates the effects of individual worker's learning and forgetting. An interchange heuristic algorithm is developed and its effectiveness is demonstrated on test problems. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
