Abstract
This dataset describes the biodegradation of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) by Paraburkholderia xenovorans LB400 in contaminated sediment taken from two sites: Altavista, VA (AVL) and New Bedford Harbor, MA (NBH). Three lab-scale microcosm experiments were performed using shaken AVL sediment (AVL_S), non-shaken AVL sediment (AVL_NS), and non-shaken NBH sediment (NBH_NS). This file contains results from these experiments. PCB measurements were made using a GC-MS/MS Triple Quadrapole in multiple reaction monitoring mode (MRM) using the internal standard method. Copy numbers of the Biphenyl Dioxygenase Subunit A gene were measured using qPCR.
