Abstract
This dataset contains multi-omics and chemical analysis data from a study investigating the effects of exposure to a human-relevant polychlorinated biphenyl mixture (HR-PCB mixture) in male and female C57BL/6J mice. Animals were dosed daily with either 0 or 6 mg/kg body weight of the HR-PCB mixture for 7 weeks. Liver tissues were collected for integrated molecular, chemical, and pathological assessment. Histopathological evaluation was performed using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining to characterize tissue-level alterations. PCB concentrations in liver were quantified using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Transcriptomic profiles were generated by bulk RNA sequencing to assess gene expression changes, and targeted metabolomic analyses were conducted using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Systems-level network analyses were performed to identify associations between hepatic PCB burdens and alterations in gene expression.
