Abstract
Massachusetts single-home parcels (2019) with the following variables
fips: County code
bg_id_2016: Block Group ID 2016. Block group identifier for 2016
depth_bg_all: Depth Block Group All. Mean flood depth in 500-yr return period at block group level
depth_bg_int: Depth Block Group Intensive. Mean flood depth in 500-yr return period of parcels at risk at block group level only
depth_bl_all: Depth Block All. Mean flood depth in 500-yr return period at block level
depth_bl_int: Depth Block Intensive. Mean flood depth in 500-yr return period of parcels at risk at block level only
fld_eal_base_mid_fs_2020_m: Flood Expected Annual Loss Mid Damage Scenario First Street 2020 Mid Hazard Scenario.Eexpected annual loss estimates for the parcel in the mid damage scenario with First Street Foundation 'mid' 2020 scenario
fld_eal_base_mid_p_h_bg_a_mv: Expected annual loss estimate for the parcel in the mid damage scenario using parcel level hazard and block group based aggregated structure inventory (with mean block group structure value)
fld_eal_base_mid_bg_d_int_mv: Expected annual loss estimate for the parcel in the mid damage scenario using block group based average depth in each return period for homes at risk and block group based aggregated structure inventory (with mean block group structure value)
fld_eal_base_mid_bg_d_all_mv: Expected annual loss estimate for the parcel in the mid damage scenario using block group based average depth in each return period for all homes and block group based aggregated structure inventory (with mean block group structure value)
fld_eal_base_mid_bl_d_int_mv: Same as fld_eal_base_mid_bg_d_int_mv, but with block level used for average depth
fld_eal_base_mid_bl_d_all_mv: Same as fld_eal_base_mid_bg_d_all_mv, but with block level used for average depth
Parcel-level flood depth estimates were licensed from the First Street Foundation (FSF). If you have an active data license agreement with FSF (free of charge), please contact Adam Pollack to request these data.
Expected annual loss variables are restricted to mid-damage scenario as it represents the methods and assumptions seen throughout flood risk assessments.
Block group and county .gpkg files accompany the parcel data to allow for plotting of variables at aggregate scales
