Anterior cruciate ligament tears are among the most common knee injuries sustained by athletes in pivoting and landing sports. A frequent complication among athletes that return to sport is a second ACL injury. The rate of ACL re-tears is significantly higher among athletes within their first year of return to sport1. The aim of this case study is to highlight two athletes returning to sport utilizing progressive testing parameters including Biodex and hop testing to predict sport readiness. This case study will also highlight an example of treatment parameters to best rehabilitate lower extremity strength and rate of force development to prepare an athlete for the physical demands of sport.
