Richard Faith is American pianist, composer, and pedagogue. This essay introduces Richard Faith's piano works ranging intermediate to advanced level. His piano solo miniatures in these levels since 1986 are highly considerable to be recommended for piano teachers and young pianists to explore evolving styles of the twentieth century. The selected works in this essay are Pipes, Sketches, Sonatina, Masquerades, Russian Folk Tales, Carousels, Skandian Suites, Family Portraits, Gallantries. The pieces are mostly sets of character pieces with descriptive titles offering full of imagination and interesting subject for young piano students.
