- Public Abstract (ETD)
It is crucial to prepare students for careers in health science during their middle school years, but it’s difficult to determine if the current healthcare career education programs are effective. This study introduces a new method to measure the success of these programs, based on a theory that helps us understand how students perceive their careers. Initially, researcher gathered information to create questions aimed at measuring students' confidence in finding and succeeding in healthcare jobs, their expectations regarding these careers, and their interest in the field. Subsequently, researcher tested and refined these questions to ensure their reliability and effectiveness. The goal is to ensure that programs designed to guide students towards healthcare careers genuinely assist them in feeling prepared and enthusiastic about their future prospects.
