Abstract
This chapter reviews the evidence pertaining to three main questions. First, do birds perceive three-dimensional (3-D) depth information in pictures, and if so, what cues to depth can they use? Second, can birds perceive the 3-D structure of objects seen in pictures? Third, can birds recognize the correspondence between objects seen in pictures and objects seen in real life, and if so, under what circumstances is such correspondence found?
