Immunology introduced the investigators who received the AmerOne of the core missions of the journal is fostering and promoting the development of young investigators. The 4 awardees (Drs Sokol) and their research projects were introduced to the Allergy/Immunology community so that we can all help in fostering the careers of our promising junior colleagues. Successful growth in the field of Allergy/Immunology research, be it clinical or academic, is neither rapid nor spontaneous; it demands ongoing support. With this in mind, for the third consecutive year, we are celebrating the 5-year anniversary by checking the progress of the awardees. As in 2022 and 2023, we contacted the awardees from 5 years prior, in this case 2019, and they kindly provided updates on their achievements. It is truly remarkable to see the progress that they have the specialty is in good hands.
