Abstract
Generalizability theory provides a rich framework for quantifying the extent to which each identified source of measurement error affects the precision of a measurement procedure and has been applied to various real-world measurement settings. This article is intended to provide a brief summary of generalizability theory and demonstrate applications using some example data. In addition, several considerations that an investigator should take into account in practice are provided.
