Abstract

The distribution of aquatic organism like fish eggs and snails over a river reach are crucial for research, fishing and animal protection purpose. The lack of knowledge about particle behavior close to the river bed remains a significant difficult to predict the deposit position of these particles. In this study, different boundary conditions based on bed shear stress are investigated. The 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code Fluent is used for simulating the flow field.
