A poetry anthology as a poetic en/counter-form: José Carlos Limeira, Lívia Natália, Maria Dolores Rodriguez, and Ricardo Aleixo in translation

In this thesis, I assemble and curate a poetry anthology in translation, featuring the works of four contemporary Brazilian poets: José Carlos Limeira, Lívia Natália, Maria Dolores Rodriguez, and Ricardo Aleixo. The anthology presents twenty-eight poems and poetic passages by these four poets, with seven poems and poetic passages by each poet, translated from Portuguese into English. This anthology is structured as an en/counter-form, a form to promote encounters in which the singular and plural poetic aspects — across themes, styles, and voices — coexist.
