Abstract
This thesis presents a translation of Eric LeBlanc’s 2020 novel Boy Beat Blue, and the translator’s note describing the form of the book, an analysis of the text, and the development of this translation. Eric LeBlanc is a queer writer, photographer, and digital artist based in Montreal. His writing focuses on queer violence, heteronormative pressures on queer relationships, and the photographer’s gaze. The translator’s note examines the text from the perspective of the translator’s relationship to the text.
