Abstract
Areyto de liberación is a ceremony of liberation. A space for encountering old wounds, sitting with them and, experience healing. This areyto is for people whose ancestry comes from Taíno lands. It’s a self-rediscovery process to decolonize my spirituality, and experience healing by researching colonization in-depth and exploring the beliefs of the taínos through making visual art. A body of work that questions what is healing, experiences identity confusion and seeks for self-realization and empowerment
