A cowgirl is raised in the Sierra Madre Occidental in the state of Durango in northern Mexico. She tells her story in the first person of what it was like to live and grow up in an isolated place during the sixties. She approaches different characters within the fragments she narrates. She jumps from one topic to another, but in the end draws a map of a community that is sometimes hostile, suddenly tender, and rich in oral tradition. In a town with few men, she exercises her freedom, and her agency is what will make her move.
