Abstract
This paper examines the actor’s personal approach to creating a role. She begins by examining her past training as an actor. She then details how her experiences in the classroom and onstage while pursuing her MFA in Acting at The University of Iowa has helped shift and focus her creative process. Through self-evaluation, she recognizes and uplifts acting techniques that she will continue to utilize in her career as an actor.
