Abstract
A relatively small living area is what millions of people living in large cities face. Furniture for such spaces need to be both functional and space saving. Every object needs its space and storage, for either display or function. Floating, or working against gravity, might be a solution to this furniture design challenge. How can design work against gravity? How can I design a structure that alludes to floating, but remains structurally safe?
