This thesis compiles images of paintings, sculptures, and monotypes made during my time as an MFA candidate at the University of Iowa. The selected images were shown in two exhibitions titled “Halfway Between a Flower and an Angel” and “Difficult Crossing”, which took place in the Fall of 2021, and the spring of 2022. The accompanying text is included to provide some of my thoughts on making and context for the work.
