Abstract
“In the Stomach of my Sleep” features works on paper and fabric that reflect on environmentalism and our connection to landscape. These printed works engage with themes of the body, space, and interconnection. Many of the monotypes, intaglio etchings and fabric pieces in this exhibition are visually informed by plumes, geological formations, fabric bedding, anatomy, and maps. Influenced by Native Hawaiian thought regarding the environment my work depicts relationships to land that are kindred, inseparable and familial.
