- Public Abstract (ETD)
Written to fulfill a partial requirement for a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Acting, this thesis articulates what Branden Shaw's process for developing a character has become after three years of graduate studies. After outlining his current process, he discusses what he values about the artform and how the methodologies discussed affect his life in and out of performance. Next, he discusses his strengths and weaknesses and how he intends to improve and obtain more facility within the craft. Finally, he expresses how implementing the methodologies mentioned transformed his thinking around acting and instilled confidence in his ability.
