- Public Abstract (ETD)
Neo Superflat is a series of abstracted scenes that represent the flattening of value within people, environments, and communities. The flattening process is broken down into individual stages and explored as metaphorical environments. All of the events used to create the Neo Superflat artwork are not universal, nor are they presented as absolute definitions. The environments were created with respect and awareness for personal interpretations. Neo Superflat is an adaptable system; open to all shells of individual descriptions to be applied to the conceptual skeleton. 3D modeling with an orthographic perspective conveys flattened time, perspective, and value within the environments. Inkjet printable canvas, laser engraved acrylic sheets, and 3D printed tetrapod shapes expand the work into new landscapes.
